Here we have a beautiful Antique Sterling Silver Caddy Spoon from the 1830s. It would be perfect for spooning loose tea or coffee.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
It was made by George Unite and it was hallmarked in Birmingham 1831. The hallmarks are on the back of the handle.
It’s made of shiny solid Sterling Silver and has a beautiful square shovel shaped bowl and a pretty fiddle design to the handle. It's a lovely unique design which would be a great addition to a cutlery drawer.
The silver is shiny with some light scratches and a few deeper lines in places. There is a kink to the middle of the handle and one of the corners of the bowl is slightly more curved inwards.
It weighs 8.8g and measures 7.9cm in length (3 1/8 inches).
