Antique Mosiac Card Case, 1800s Sadeli Sandalwood

This is a beautifully made Indian Sandalwood Card Case from the 1800s. It would make a great business or credit card case. It comes in a lovely green gift bag so it would be a great present.

The exterior is covered in a Sadeli Mosaic pattern which was very popular in the 1800s. They were known as Anglo Indian boxes as many were made for the English residents living in India who eventually brought or sent them back to England.

The interior is wood and comfortably fits standard business cards.

It is in overall good vintage condition for its age. There are a couple of tiny bits of the mosaic missing, a couple of very small marks and a small stain on the base.

The wood is cracked on one side at the top but this still seems rigid and doesnt affect its use.

It measures 10.6cm by 7.9cm (just under 4.25 inches by 3.1 inches). The depth is 1.5cm (0.6 inches).
