This is a very pretty gold coloured Vintage Melissa mirror compact from the 1970s. It comes with a black pouch to protect the design.

The powder compact case has a beautiful pattern to the lid and would be a great gift to use as a handbag or pocket mirror.

The lid has a gold coloured mirrored effect with a leaf pattern etched on it. The base has a ring design. Inside is a clear mirror and an inner lid. The powder area has the original used Melissa powder puff and powder screen. Beneath the mirror are the words Melissa and Made in England.

The pouch is black and has Uganda printed in gold on it.

Condition

The compact is in very good condition. The is a little age spotting to the lid which can be seen in a couple of the photos.

The diameter is 7.7cm (3 inches).
