1950s State Express Box, Vintage Keepsake Tin

This is a lovely Brass Trinket Box made by State Express in the 1950s. It would make a fantastic keepsake box or box for storing jewellery, cufflinks or other small items in.

The exterior is gold coloured brass. It has a lovely pattern and two lines to the lid and the base has State Express and their logo in the centre, and Made in England towards the edge. Inside is a wood lining to the base with two compartments. 

Condition

The box is in good condition. The hinge works well and the exterior is shiny with some tarnish. There are a number of very small tarnish spots on the lid which adds to the character and authenticity of the box.

Size

It measures 17cm by 12.5cm (6.75 inches by just over 4.75 inches). The depth is 3.5cm (1.4 inches).
