This is a beautiful vintage solid silver napkin ring from 1940s. The napkin holder comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present for a birthday or a Christening.
The serviette ring is made of Sterling Silver and has a beautifully ornate pattern to the front of it. The Hallmarks and maker’s mark are on the side of the napkin ring. On the front it has EDAG engraved in Gothic lettering.
It was made by H Hayes and it was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1944.
Condition
The silver is shiny with light scratches and a little tarnish. The top points curve inwards very slightly which would help hold a napkin in place inside the ring.
Size
It weighs 27.7g. The depth is 3.5cm at the front and 2.5cm at the back. (1 3/8 inches and 1 inch).
