This is a lovely vintage medal produced in 1936 to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VIII on May 12th 1937.
It comes in a gift bag and is a great collector’s item.
The medal was made in the run up to the coronation, however as Edward abdicated in December 1936 all the collectibles made to celebrate him becoming king were not used. This medal doesn’t have a hole at the top and is likely to have been a souvenir kept in a box.
The medal is shiny in places with a number of tiny dents to the edge and it measures 3.8cm diameter.
