This is a very pretty Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Spoon from the 1800s. It would be perfect for using with tea leaves or with coffee.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present.
The spoon has a beautiful, deep egg shaped bowl and a pretty fiddle design handle. The makers mark and hallmarks are in the middle of the back off the bowl.
It was made by Richard Britton and hallmarked in London in 1841.
It’s in very good condition with just a little tarnish and a very small pin prick sized dent in the bowl.
It weighs 15.6g and measures 9.8cm in length (3 7/8 inches).
