This is a lovely matching pair of Antique Sterling Silver Salt Spoons made in the early 1900s. They would be ideal to use for serving salt, pepper, mustard or other condiments.

They were made by Charles Wilkes and they were hallmarked in Birmingham in 1912. The maker’s marks and hallmarks are on the back of the bowls.

The silver spoons have pretty Old English design tapered handles and lovely round bowls at the ends. The silver is shiny with a bit of tarnish in places.

The spoons together weigh 12g and each measures 7.2cm in length (just over 2 3/4 inches).

They would be a lovely present and a small gift bag can be bought separately to put them in.
