This is a lovely Vintage Solid Silver Fruit Knife from the 1930s. It’s a great collector’s item and could be used for slicing pieces of apple or pear.
It’s a folding fruit knife and has a Sterling Silver blade. The handle is beautiful mother of pearl featuring engraved flowers and leaves. It’s slight curved in design making it easier to hold.
It was made by William Needham and it was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1934. The hallmarks and maker’s mark are on one side of the blade. The blade snaps neatly back into the handle and is sprung.
Condition
It’s in very good condition with the silver shiny.
Size
It’s a smaller size knife measuring 9.4cm in length when fully open (just over 3 3/4 inches). When closed it measures 5.9cm (just under 2 3/8 inches).
