This is a very pretty small solid Sterling Silver fruit knife with a Mother of Pearl handle. It was made in 1910 and would be ideal for cutting and peeling apples, pears and soft fruits.

It comes in a lovely green gift bag and would be a great present for a birthday or anniversary.

It has a Sterling Silver blade with the makers mark and hallmarks on. The curved handle is Mother of Pearl and features a blank oval cartouche on one side.

The blade folds neatly back into the handle.

It was made by Alfred Constantine and is hallmarked in Birmingham in 1910.

Condition

It’s in overall good condition. There’s a small kink to the blade but it wouldn’t affect its use. There’s two small chips to the Mother of Pearl handle on one side which can be seen in the photos, but otherwise it is smooth and free of cracks.

Size

It’s a smaller fruit knife, measuring 9cm (3 1/2 inches) when fully open and 5.5cm (2 inches) when closed.
