This is a very pretty vintage Cloisonné Enamel Pill Box, perfect for storing a few vitamins in or other small items. It dates from the 1960s.
It comes in a lovely presentation bag and would be a great gift.
It has a lovely colourful design to the box It features a beautiful red flower with green leaves and a brown branch on a lovely blue background. It’s Chinese Cloisonné style, with the enamel design painted within a gold painted, metal frame. The sides and base have a pretty design all the way around.
It’s fan shaped and has a hinged lid. The interior is blue enamel.
It’s a beautiful box. There is some wear to the gold paint on the metal and the odd tiny mark within the enamel. There is also a tiny chip to the enamel on one side which can be seen in the photos. This has been taken into account when pricing.
The box measures 4cm across at its widest point (1 5/8 inches). The width is 2.5cm (1 inch) and the depth is 1.6cm (5/8 inch).
