This is a very pretty Vintage Sterling Silver Bottle Coaster from the 1980s. It would be perfect for using for wine or water bottles at the dinner table.

It was made by Wakely and Wheeler and it was Hallmarked in London in 1983.

The sides of the coaster are made of Sterling Silver and the maker’s marks and Hallmarks are on one the side. The base is made of turned wood with a silver centrepiece. The bottom of the coaster has green felt to protect tables when it’s placed on it.

It’s in very good condition with just some tarnish in places. The wood has a few stains to it and could do with regular oiling.

The total weight is 227g and it measures 12.3cm diameter on the inside (nearly 4 7/8 inches).. The depth is 4.3cm (1 5/8 inches).
