Here we have a lovely Vintage Solid Silver Candlestick Holder from the 1920s. It would look great on a mantelpiece, sideboard or table.
It’s elegantly designed with shiny Sterling Silver sides and a tapered middle leading to a wider top that holds 2.2cm width candlesticks (nearly 1 inch).
It was made by Edward Barnard and Sons Ltd and it was hallmarked in London in 1927.
There’s a little tarnish which helps to show the design and a few small dents to the sides. The top part of the holder turns and is very slightly tilted. This has been reflected in the pricing.
It’s a larger size squat or dwarf candlestick holder, a little taller than many small candle holders measuring nearly 10cm in height (3 7/8 inches). The base diameter is 6.4cm (2 1/2 inches). It’s filled and weighs 173g.
