Mappin & Webb 1930s Entree Dish, Silver Plated Serving Dish
This is a beautiful Mappin & Webb Entree Dish from 1933. It would be a great way to serve food at a dinner party.
It's made of Silver Plate and it has Mappin & Webb, Mappin Plate, London & Sheffield, the date letter E for 1933 and W26468 on the base.
It has a pretty pattern around the edge of the base and lid. The lid has two handles to lift it up with.
The Silver Plate is intact and shiny. There are places within the bowl where it has some tarnish and small areas of deterioration which can be seen in the photos. It has one tiny dint in the base and quite a few surface scratches.
Overall it's a lovely, elegant dish.
It measures 28.5cm by 21.5cm (11 1/4 inches by 8 1/2 inches). The total height is approx 8cm (3 1/8 inches).
