Antique Victorian Preserve or Jam Spoon
This is a lovely patterned Antique Preserve Spoon from the late 1800s. It would be a great way for serving jam or marmalade at breakfast.
It is Silver Plated and the Maker’s Mark is Armstrong & Scott. It was made in Birmingham around 1894.
The bowl of the spoon has a pretty pattern. It has an interesting edging to the bowl. The neck and the handle have a lovely design. The Maker’s Marks are on the back of the spoon.
The Silver Plate has worn on the handle and base of the bowl. There are a couple of spots of deterioration in the bowl and one on the edge of the outside of the bowl.
It measures 15.6cm in length (just over 6 1/8 inches).
