This is a beautiful Antique Silver Coffee Spoons Set from the early 1900s. They are in their original presentation box and would be a fantastic gift.
They were made by Charles Wilkes and were Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1912. Each spoon has Hallmarks on the back and the sugar tongs have the Hallmarks on the end.
There’s a pretty pattern on each handle and on the arms of the sugar tongs. The Silver is shiny with a little tarnish in places which helps show the pattern.
The presentation box has scuffs and a couple of small stains which are commensurate with age but the hinge and clasp work well.
Together the spoons weigh 58.4g.
Each spoon measures 10.5cm in length (just over 4 1/8 inches).
