This is a very beautiful Antique Book of Common Prayer. It’s a lovely antique in a gift bag and would be a fantastic present.
It has a Sterling Silver cover which features Joshua Reynold’s Cherubs. It was made by William Comyns & Sons and it was Hallmarked in London in 1904.
It’s a miniature book with Common Prayer on the spine and 630 pages. It has the inscription “Dorothy with much love from E.W. 1904” which just adds to how special the book is.
There is a bit of tarnish and a few small dents to the silver. The pages are all intact although the inside cover page and title page are slightly loose but still attached to the spine.
It measures 5.7cm by 4.7cm (2 1/2 inches by just over 1 3/4 inches) with a depth of 1.5cm (5/8 inch).
