Product Description

Here we have a fantastic find. It’s a pair of Antique Sterling Silver Salts from the Georgian era. They would be perfect for serving salt, pepper or condiments at the dinner table.

They come in a gift box and would be a great present.

They were made by Robert Hennell I and they were Hallmarked in London 1817.

Each bowl has a beautifully detailed Sterling Silver frame and four elegant feet. They have a blank cartouche on the front of each one and the Hallmarks and maker’s marks on the underside rim.

The cobalt blue liners are within the frame. One is more tightly held in than the other. Both liners are in good condition with one just having a slightly rough chipped edge which wouldn’t affect it’s use.

The Silver is shiny with some tarnish. There are a couple of small repairs to the pattern which can be seen in the photos.

The silver weight is approx 83g.

Each bowl measures 8.2cm by 6.2cm (just under 3 1/4 inches by just over 2 1/8 inches). The depth is 5cm (2 inches).
