This is a unique and very special find! It’s an Antique Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon from the 1700s. It would be ideal to use for decorating cakes or putting cocoa on cappuccinos.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present for someone who enjoys cooking or coffee.
It was made by Thomas Chawner and it was Hallmarked in London in 1776. The maker’s mark and Hallmarks are on the back of the handle. It’s made of solid, shiny Sterling Silver.
The spoon has a lovely pattern in the bowl. The handle is curved and has elaborate initials at the top of the handle which looks like ‘RB to AH’.
The spoon is in very good condition, particularly as it is nearly 250 years old.
It weighs 48.4g and measures approx 17.7cm in length (7 inches).
