This is a beautiful Antique Sterling Silver Fruit Knife from the early 1900s. It comes in a lovely gift bag and would make a great present for a birthday or 30th Wedding Anniversary.
It was made by George Guirren Rhoden of Sutherland & Roden. It was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1914.
The folding fruit knife has a lovely shiny Sterling Silver blade with the Hallmarks and maker’s mark on one side. The handle is beautifully smooth Mother of Pearl with a blank shield cartouche on one side.
The knife is in very good condition. There are no cracks or chips to the Pearl handle. The blade has light scratches as to be expected for an antique.
The knife measures 13.8cm in length when fully open (5 3/8 inches). It measures 8.2cm when closed (3 1/4 inches).
