This is a pretty Antique Silver Vesta Case or Matchsafe from the early 1900s. It’s a lovely collector’s item and would be perfect for storing small matchsticks or small items in.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.

It was made by William Hair Haseler and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1910. The Hallmarks are on the rim of the case.

It has a pretty lines and fleur de lis pattern. There’s a blank circular cartouche on one side and a ring at the side to attach to to a chain. The lid lifts to show a gilded interior.

The Silver is shiny. It has quite a lot of dents to it which can be seen in the photos which all adds to it’s history. It also has a small split to the joint on one side which can be seen in the photos.

It weighs 22g.

It measures 4.5cm by 3.4cm (just over 1 3/4 inches by 1 3/8 inches). The depth is 0.9cm (just under 3/8 inch).
