This is a beautiful Antique Sterling Silver Egg Spoon from the 1850s. It would be perfect for using to eat boiled eggs or for serving condiments.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.

It was made by Elizabeth Eaton and it was Hallmarked in London in 1854. The Hallmarks and makers marks are on the back of the handle.

The spoon is made of Sterling Silver and is fiddle pattern shaped which was very popular in the Victorian era. It has a unusual shape which is ideal for getting boiled eggs out of their shells. It has a smaller size bowl, similar to a deep bowled coffee spoon.

The Silver is shiny with light scratches and a little tarnish which all adds to the antique look. It has a very small dint to the bowl which is barely visible and the handle ever so slightly curves to the right.

It weighs 18.3g and measures 12.3cm in length (just over 4 3/4 inches).
