Here we have a very pretty Antique Sterling Silver Dessert Spoon from the late 1700s. It would be ideal for using to serve or eat food with. It comes in a gift bag and would be a very special present.

It was made by William Sumner I and it was hallmarked in London in 1792. The hallmarks are on the back on the handle..

The spoon has a beautiful tapered handle and a lovely shaped bowl. At the top of the handle it has a very pretty etched design featuring a crown and a unicorn.

The Silver is shiny with light scratches and a a number of very small faint tarnish dots in the bowl. There’s a very tiny indentation in the bowl which can only be felt with a finger.

It’s in good condition, particularly for a spoon which is over 230 years old.

It weighs 36g and measures 18.5cm in length (nearly 7 3/8 inches).
